5 out of 5 stars BT Baby Monitor   July 28, 2010
read.a.book (Redcar, Cleveland UK)
I bought this monitor for our baby having read the excellent reviews on Amazon and it has lived up to expectations.
It has a number of useful features such as the room temperature gauge and the lullabies which you can play from the parent unit as well as the baby unit which our 4 month-old son finds comforting enough to settle down to sleep with.
The sensitivity feature is a real godsend especially for paranoid first-time parents like ourselves. You can hear every little shuffle and murmur, even more than when they're sleeping in the same room as you and once you become more confident, the sensitivity can be turned down.
The sound quality is excellent, no hissing or buzzing at all.
We have also found the torch on the parent unit really useful so you can check on your baby before you go to bed without having to disturb them by switching a light on.
All in all we have found it to be a reliable baby monitor at a reasonable price. I cannot think of anything that would improve this product - it's a must-have for parents and I feel totally confident it does everything we need it to. Would definitely recommend.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Monitor   July 27, 2010
A Reader (England)
This is the only monitor I've seen in use that doesn't transmit static noise over the speaker. The sound quality is fantastic and very sensitive. You can hear baby breathing over the monitor which is very reassuring! When my second baby was born, we bought another one! I would definitely recommend this to everyone. The range is also fantastic - right to the end of our 60ft garden and from one end of my Dad's 6 bedroom farmhouse conversion to the other, through concrete floors! Brilliant. Something to keep in mind though - the sound is so good, it actually amplifies the noises and it took me about 6 weeks of new born crying to realise that my baby wasn't crying as hard as I thought he was - it just sounded louder over the monitor! Ha ha! (I turned it down after that!)

4 out of 5 stars good, but irritating that the main unit is not rechargable   July 24, 2010

I had to buy a separate battery recharger as it eats batteries fast (12hrs?). UNderstandable when using as a monitor, but it does not have a mode to let you use it just for the thermometer. Other than that I'd echo the other reviews, it is a good unit at a low price.

4 out of 5 stars Clear sound, good quality product   July 19, 2010
G. O'GORMAN (St Albans UK)
We're on our second one of these - the temperature readout on the first one has broken after 14 mths, just outside the 12mth guarantee, a bit annoying. Resetting doesn't seem to make any difference. Anyway, as the price has come down a bit, we bought second one, and have no complaints. We think that the temperature readout has gone wrong because it was exposed to too high temperatures, probably with the sun shining through the nursery window onto the table top, so don't leave it in direct sunlight if you can help it.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent   July 16, 2010

As still awaiting arrival of baby I have only had a little play with these, but was very impressed. Sound quality and functions are excellent. Definately worth spending the money.
