I heard so much about Bio Oil but it always seemed so expensive in the shops. This is more than half the shop price for exactly the same thing. Great stuff, though I think if you have combination skin you have to use it more carefully as it can bring up your spots.

I bought this for my mom. She can't find the one she used to buy (from America) and I bought this one instead. She uses it on her face for wrinkles and she didn't really like it, she thinks the skin doesn't really absorb it and it's too oily. I've heard some friends say it's good for stretch marks, though.

I am 39 years old, with a history of cystic acne, ice pick scarring to my face and scarred legs through shaving too vigorously! I have tried every product on the market, cream, lotion, ointment, gel - from cheap brands from Wilko to high end brands from House of Fraser etc. I have even been on Roaccutane from a dermatologist in the pursuit of nice looking skin. I am also an ex smoker with lined skin round my eyes (sounding nice so far?). I love Bio Oil, and will continue to buy it in the near future. I will point out that IT IS AN OIL so to start with your skin will look oily, but this gradually fades over hours to mattify and even out the skin one.
It is the only product I will go back and buy for the following reason:
1) My skin is clearer, softer, smoother, with an EVEN tone and texture. It actually looks better without powder/ foundation of any sort. I still use concealer and my usual mascara/ eyeliner as long as they are applied 30 mins after application of the oil.
2)Applied to the legs and arms- my skin is just more smooth and even, I don't know how else to describe it. I apply it early evening and the next day you can most definitely notice the difference in the general condition of the skin, once it has had a chance to dry and soak in. It has minimised the appearance of the facial scars, (obviously not eliminated them ) but my skin looks bright and even that I am more confident, and not bothered so much by the scars. It is a mini revelation for me!

Purchased this product as recommended by friends for scar after my hysterectomy. The oil has a nice light fragrance and is pleasant to use - a little goes a long way. Certainly no adverse effects and it seems to be helping a little. Obviously it will take a long time to make an obvious difference!
