I purchased the Samsung a month ago and have used it frequently.The first thing I noticed about it was the construction around the screen,with a flimsy very light plastic surround and slackness of the border in the middle,making it a rather loose and slack border.I was undecided whether to keep the computer,but I did.The second thing I did not like is the keyboard,as it is constructed of flat keys very close together.I am a touch typist and find it hard to accurately locate the keys,but this I can get used to,is it a matter of practice.I would have preferred a more harder to the touch keyboard as it is very sensitive,and I find it so easy to make mistakes,even for a competent typist.The third thing is ---The sound output is very poor!I thought it was me being overly fussy,but the sound is very low,and not of good quality.The fourth thing is ---The exterior casing is of very light construction,and very flimsy.I notice today,that the screen is cracked,and since I am the only one who has used the computer,and it has not left my home,that it has not been subjected to rough handling.I know what did this,and it was me pressing on top of the case lightly with my finger,as I closed the laptop.In fact,if you press with one finger on the top of the casing,you will see just how flimsy it is,as the case bends inward leaving a dent in the top of the case.
I kept the computer because --It has a good processor and for this reason I kept the computer.However,in considering the overall performance of this computer,I should have returned it to Amazon,and asked for a refund.I will now have to send it to Samsung for repair.The fifth thing is --- the battery lasts only for three hours and then has to be re-charged.As for the performance of the computer,it is fast and powerful.The construction and other things detract from the plus points,and so I have to say that I am disappointed with the compputer.To further add,the security software that came with it is McAfee,and it has not performed well when scanning in full scan mode.I contacted McAfee and after a prolonged discussion lasting about an hour and a half,I was told that McAfee does not work properly because it is Windows 7,a new Windows sytem,and it would not be until the middle of June before McAfee has a patch ready to remedy the problem.
I purchased the computer because of the name, Samsung,and assumed it would be of good quality.However,I have to say this is not the case.The construction is of poor quality and the overall performance not what I would expect of a top brand name like Samsung.
I would not recommend this comuter,and will get it repaired and purchase something else.

I received this notebook within a few days, and I love it.
It has the new windows 7 and was very easy to set up. I use skype a lot, and the built in webcam is very good quality.
I would recommend this to anyone.

My 10 year old son thinks this is great - really good graphics, good design and not as heavy as some of the larger models, but solid.
Would recommend this laptop which represented good value, easy to set up.

My Dell laptop crashed, so bought this Samsung instead. It "does everything it says on the tin" and I certainly won't be going back to Dell! Love the colour too!

i recieved my laptop from amazon very promptly and was very pleased it.it logs on and charges up very quickly,but i am still getting used to it
