4gig memory and 500gig hard drive good battery life feels short compared to my Dell
Windows 7 factory loaded caused blue screen daily so had to re load
500 gig partitioned hard drive a stupid idea for back up no longer partitioned and back up on a separate hard drive

having checked the usuall stores pc world/comet/curry's/staples + a few others I found that value for money was the toshiba as it had the most memory and the biggest hard drive for the best price ,as its windows 7 then I am still getting used to it but it should last me for quite a while and also allow me loads of photo's and loads of music space very good value for money delivery was standard but was basicly next day 'very satisfied all round.

As always Amazon deliver a first class service, this is my first laptop I have bought but not the first I have used. The jury is still out on the operating system Windows 7, it looks like back to the future to me as someone who used first Windows 3, multi page was one of the novilties with 3 and 3.1. Disc space is good and the memory at 4 MB very impressive. The Athlon II M300 2.0 GHz Processor makes it a pretty fast machine at the price. Things I like are the full size keyboard, I use a mouse with the Laptop as I always find the touch pad difficult to use. The speed of the machine is very impressive and for the price difficult to beat (until next month, when you find something better at the same price but then thats P.C.s for you)the HDMI interface for playing HD through your T.V.is one of my reasons for buying this Laptop. Problems, I had difficulty registering the Toshiba warranty on line, it kept saying that the warranty was out of date. Toshiba say they don't understand why that happened, my feeling is they want you to phone on a 0844 number to make a couple of bob registering, as when I phoned they had all of the information that I had entered. Things I don't like, Toshiba's own add ons automatically load, I would prefer to have a choice, there is no mail client shipped with the machine, yes you use an Hotmail etc; or you can download Thunderbird etc; and they do give you a trial of Office, but something shipped as a basic mail client would be nice. Overall I would give it 9/10 where it lost for me were no mail client and registering the warranty. At the price it is difficult to beat. If you want a good spec laptop with the Toshiba name, and like watching HD then it will take some beating.
