4 out of 5 stars my fitness coach   March 15, 2010
girlyblu (UK)
This is a great fitness game. So much better than the Wii fit. Put all your details in to set it up. Choose what you want to do and off you go. I love it and so much cheaper than hourly exercise classes and more convenient as you can do it when you want to. It asks you how you are getting on throughout the routine so it can adjust to suit your level of fitness. I really recommend it.I now use it for an hour a day Monday to Friday its great. My Fitness Coach (Wii)

1 out of 5 stars Disappointing   March 11, 2010

I have been using the Wii Fit Plus for a while and hoped this programme would be a little more grown up without the strange sound effects. I found it impossible to follow the Yoga section. It didn't give me a good enough tutorial. I also found the trainer extremely irritating. So it's back to Wii Fit Plus for me.

3 out of 5 stars No warm up or warm down!   March 8, 2010
L. Harris (London)
Once you get into this game the moves are really great and I can feel my heart rate rising.

However, there is no warm up or warm down. I completed an hour aerobics session and there was no stretching at all. As a result I couldn't walk for 3 days! I was in physcial pain just moving. It would be great if there was some stretching incorporated in the moves.

3 out of 5 stars Out of time   March 8, 2010

I teach fitness and aerobics and think the Wii is a great way for people to get active. I have several games which I find do the trick on a slow day for me.

My biggest problem with this system is the music and the moves don't add up. If you have any sense of rhythum, you'll find yourself out of step which makes it quite frustrating. Its also short lived and too low intensity, so you won't really get enough activity. You are better off going round the block for a cardio work out, or putting on any one of the celebrity workout DVDs if you prefer to stay indoors.

5 out of 5 stars Really makes a difference   March 5, 2010

Today I completed my 40th workout with Maya, and I am not bored yet, and I can really feel the benefits, even though I only do the shortest workout (15 minutes) 5 times a week. There are lots of things to like about this game. You give feedback several times during each workout, so that the intensity can be adjusted to make sure you are working at the right level; the changes as you improve are subtle but still take it up a notch. The music is unobtrusive, so it doesn't drive you crazy after you've heard it a few times, and you get to choose different styles. You also get to choose different locations, which makes for a bit more variety. You choose a daily focus, for example upper body or cardio, or Maya will recommend a daily focus. Either way you get a balanced workout over the week. I really appreciate being able to do a complete balanced workout in only 15 minutes per session, it really helps with consistency, because no matter how rushed I am I can always say "it's only 15 minutes, just do it!" Of course you can choose longer workouts when/if you have more time available. Highly recommended.
