Product Description
Developed at Rebellion by the team responsible for the original 1999 classic, in the all-new Aliens vs. Predator players have the chance to take the role of the three infamous species; the Colonial Marine, the Predator and the Alien.
Each of the three species has its very own distinct story-driven single-player campaign mode that interweaves with the campaigns of the other two species. Aliens vs. Predator will also feature unique 3-way online multiplayer, allowing gamers to pit the three species against each other in the ultimate battle for survival and for the right to be crowned the deadliest species.
On planet BG-386 a colonist mining group discovers an ancient pyramid containing a dark and horrible secret. Across the stars a race of warriors is alerted to the discovery of their pyramid and a hunting party is dispatched to ensure that it remains sealed at all costs, whilst deep inside the ruined pyramid a malevolent intelligence awakes from centuries of dormancy.
The Marines story is an incredible fight against the odds, and the horrors lurking in the dark. Beset on all sides yet armed to the teeth, the Colonial Marine represents humanitys last stand with the firepower to fight back.
As the Alien, players will discover what its like to be the most murderous and lethal creature in the universe, with the ability to traverse any surface with awesome agility in order to get close enough to unleash its deadly teeth and claws.
A master of the hunt, the Predator grants the player a suite of exotic weaponry and equipment with which to stalk its unknowing prey. Earn the greatest honour by ambushing prey up-close and butchering them for a gory trophy kill.

Ill keep it short and sweet. Graphics are acceptable, not brilliant like CoD or Battlefield 2 but moody lighting and realistic Aliens and effects make the game more playable. Playability is excellent, I go through it once a week. The Alien missions are the best IMO, walking on ceilings, knocking out lights and drawing marines closer to you to get the all important stealth/quick kills.
The predator should be more powered (the plasma caster doesnt do enough damage unless you go for the charge shot and then you only get 4-5 shots). But jumping around luring marines closer to kill or just charging at enemies and ripping off their faces to collect a trophy makes the game brilliantly entertaining.
The marine missions are not for the faint hearted; moody, atmospheric and very claustrophobic makes it an edge of your seat action adventure.
In short if you like the AvP franchise then buy it and have some fun.

I loved this game it is very good. If you love violence and gore then this is the game for you as it is very good with the violent scenes. The three campaigns are a very nice touch as you get to take control of the Marines, Predators or Aliens. The one I find most fun is the Marine campaign as it is very scary and fun. Whatever your favourite character is you can take control of them. The main problems are for the Alien campaign especially when trying to crawl on walls or roofs but other than that it is very good and fun. In the Predator campaign their are a variety of different weapons which are very fun to use. There are also a few good weapons in the Marine campaign which are also very fun to use. I hope this review helped you in deciding whether to buy this game or not.

this game is an instant classic from the very first to the very last i loved it. In the marine campaign the shooting is brilliant,using the smart gun (heavy machine gun for people who arnt big fans of aliens) was really good fun and smacking the aliens with it was brilliant.Also in your arsenal you have the vp78 pistol,zx76 shotgun,m41a/2 pulse rifle,m260b flamethrower and the m42c scoped rifle.All of the guns are very good at killing aliens except the flamethrower which causes very low damage and the after firing all of your ammo the alien will just attack you and set your dumb arse on fire.All of the campaigns are good but some are better than others.The marine campaign is the best,then the alien and lastly the predator>the only problem with the predator is that on full charge your plasma gun will only kill about 2 or 3 enemies and then your invisibility camo doesn't work for more than ten seconds.The alien campaign is very good if you dont just run at a big group of marines and try to kill them because it won't work,the best thing to do is pick them off slowly one by one and dont use the heavy attack uless you are trying to break a block.Overall the game is extremely good fun and can be bought relatively cheap.Aliens Vs Predator (Xbox 360)

I really enjoyed this game despite a lot of people's reviews. Yeah, some of the controls were a bit crummy and multiplayer needed a lot of work but i still had a load of fun with it.

Being a massive fan of the franchises, I was ecstatic to hear of this game. Pre ordered it even though the demo was just alright. Here's an overview:
pros:
awesome kills
3 campaigns
some spine chilling moments
survival mode
skins for ranking, even if spartan predator looks like a bionicle and lord just looks plain rubbish. Praetorian for the win!
cons:
animated kill sequences leave one very vulnerable and chance of death whilst performing one is high
marine gets no special kill
flamethrower for marine is pants
finding a match is irritating
matches can end without warning, claiming that "the host left the game"
not enough terror
always alien tail spammers online - you know who you are!
marine prone to becoming slow when you are told go here, do this, follow me etc and no enemies.
Overall, whilst their are more cons than pros here, the pros, for me, outway the cons. Personally, if your going to buy a game, I'd leave this till it comes down in price and go buy Left 4 Dead 1, cos it's just plain awesome.
