Lego Batman is a good game for kids. It isn't too complicated and it can be played with 2 players, which means he can play with someone else, if he is not dragging you to the screen.
Pure is a good game but obviously, the nature of it doesn't make it suitable for young ones.

So ill keep this short, 2 games which are fun and playable combined with an awesome wireless black controller.....for the price of a controller. A win for all.

I got this Xbox 360 Wireless Entertainment Pack in an Xbox bundle. The controller is just a standard xbox black-colored controller, with batteries.
Lego Batman is a nice game and can be played in co-op by two people, which makes sense, since this will probably be your second controller. Pure however, is only single-player.

This is a great deal especially if you get it free when you get an xbox 360. An extra controller is always useful and I really enjoy both games. Lego Batman is particuarly good played two player and often takes the two of you to work out your next move but fun none the less. Pure is a good tricks and driving game that anyone can play at different levels.
It is worth noting that both games come in one case not in two as it looks on the picture so if you did think you would just get the bundle then sell on the game(s) you don't want its not as easy but I like both and so have kept both! Give Lego Batman a go. It may not sound appealing but it can get very addictive!
