5 out of 5 stars Great Fun   September 6, 2010

I received this game in anticipation of a slightly less wholesome Fifa10 with a few new modes and teams. However as soon as I kicked off from the first match I was instantly pleasantly surprised. The game flow was better, it required a lot more skill and was less CPU automatic, this I enjoyed. In addition to this each team almost had a true to life personality, England were difficult to bond, Brazil were fast and nippy and even teams such as Paraguay and Ivory Coast seemed to have something different to them.

The penalty system is also new with the composure bar, making them a lot more difficult to hit the corners.

Overall I love this game with all the small details adding up to create the world cup feel, the commentary is specific to the stage in the world cup that you are at and the short clips of the managers give it the final touch. I hope EA can better themselves for FIFA11 and just make it that little but better.

South Africa WC game - 9/10

1 out of 5 stars sent wrong game twice   September 3, 2010
Mr. S. N. Osborne (Nottingham (UK))
i have ordered Fifa 2010 world cup for the Xbox 360 and i have been send Fifa 10 for playstation 3 i sent it back and now they sent me fifa 10 for xbox 360 why cant i get the actual game i click on to buy i have to pay to send it back and it will eventually mean i have spent more on postage then the actual game this has made me never want to buy anything i want from this website. This has put me off the game and the ignorance of people who sell the wrong item then what you order.

5 out of 5 stars Realistic   August 7, 2010

What can I say.. playing the game in a 32inches telly, is like watching a film, quality is outstanding, and the best bits are the faces of the players and the managers. they look exactly the same as the real people. awesome. My children play it too.

5 out of 5 stars The best ever football game   July 20, 2010

This game is simply the best football game ever.

Gameplay
The gameplay is very good. For me , players are very lifelike when running. Players who are fast are fast and players who are slow are slow. Also , the ball moves like it really does in proper professional matches.

There are 199 different international teams and they all have their real players. All ten world cup stadiums feature in the game. Unlike fifa 10 you really feel the emotion if you lose a really important match. You can play as a team from the real world cup or you could qualify. You can also choose your own selection of teams to play a world cup if you want to play as your country without qualifying.

If you are thinking about buying this game I highly recommend you to buy it.

4 out of 5 stars And the winner is....   July 18, 2010
TC (Walsall, England)
EA sports for producing their best world cup edition to date but also considerable differences even in the short period since FIFA 2010.

The use of a wide variety of international teams is always fun as you have the opportunity to take outside footballing nations such as San Marino and India all the way through qualifying and then onto winning the world cup. Whoever you play with it is fun and enjoyment can be had by sampling all regions of qualifying.

The gameplay offers slight changes from FIFA 2010 with players reading the play quicker and this contributes to improvement in gameplay, the reward when you score is matched by the disappointed at conceding and the sense that something is on the line adds extra spice to the game. The shots focussing closely on the coaches as they absorb the action is also a nice touch that adds to the atmosphere. The graphics are outstanding and the commentary team offers something different from the usual FIFA's.

This game albeit primarily focussing on just one event is good enough to stand on it's own as a class football offering as opposed to others. It rivals FIFA 2010 in a lot of arrears and but for the limitations on how far you can take the game, it is not going to far to say that it could be one of the best football games ever produced.

To summarise this is well worth having and a lot of fun can be had with it, the chance to take your nation to a famous win is rewarding. The real winner here though is the game itself and it should be the pre-cursor to another fantastic offering with FIFA 11, can't wait!
